A significant development in public safety has emerged from the world of motorsports. Technology from Pratt Miller Motorsports, the home of the Corvette Racing team, is now being adapted to protect first responders. At CES 2025, industrial truck manufacturer Oshkosh showcased how they are using this technology to prevent accidents involving emergency vehicles. This application of Corvette Racing's monitoring systems could help save the lives of first responders on the road.

 
The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is quickly establishing itself as one of the fastest cars on the planet. General Motors President Mark Reuss recently tested the ZR1 on a track in Germany, hitting an incredible top speed of 233 mph. No production vehicle under $1 million has ever reached this speed. The Corvette ZR1 consistently broke the 230 mph barrier during multiple test runs, setting a new standard for American sports cars.

This year, Chevrolet awarded $165,000 in scholarships. They went to HBCU marketing and journalism interns! The National Newspaper Publishers Association and Chevrolet are partners. They ended the sixth year of the Discover the Unexpected program.

 
Corvette Racing will be back at Le Mans in 2022 with a factory team and is planning additional FIA World Endurance Championship and European Le Mans Series entries, General Motors Executive Vice President Mark Reuss told RACER. As confirmed by GM's executive vice president of global product development and its North American president, the return to Le Mans has been on the books for some time. It is part of a larger global strategy.
