What's New for the 2022 Chevy Equinox?

The 2022 Chevy Equinox primarily changes from its predecessor in the area of style and design. Aesthetic updates take the stage for the Equinox in the 2022 model year. Changes start on the front end with upgraded LED headlights and daytime running lights. The front grille and fascias also get a more contemporary look. An expanded palette of paint color options gives you many ways to update your Chevy's look this year. Some new interior trim color choices are also offered on the mid-level trims. With the Equinox now comes standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Several trim-specific styling updates are also on the list of updates for 2022.

2022 Equinox Trims & Features

The 2022 Chevrolet Equinox is made in the same four trim levels as 2021, although you'll find updates on all levels. The first trim, the L, keeps an eight-inch infotainment system to start, but you'll now have the convenience of wireless connectivity. The L has comfortable cloth seating and gets two USB ports in front and two more in back. The L and the LS, which are second in line, can be ordered with a 4G WiFi hot spot. The LS gets a power-adjustable seat for the driver. It also has some new exterior color choices and new interior color schemes. The LT trim gets an upgraded driver's information system with a color display screen. Navigation is available on this trim and standard on the top Premier trim level. Satellite radio is added to the LT as well, and you can accessorize your trim with heated front seats, remote engine start, and a power rear liftgate. The Premier adds the available features of the LT along with a leather steering wheel and leather upholstery. It also has standard navigation.

2022 Chevy Equinox Horsepower

Powering the 2022 Chevy Equinox is a turbo four-cylinder engine with a 1.5L displacement. This engine, which is automatically paired with a six-speed transmission, has a maximum power output of 170 HP, and it can generate just over 200 LB-FT in torque. The first trim has front-wheel drive, while the other trims have a standard all-wheel drive for superior traction and handling.
