2021 Chevrolet Equinox

What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox?

For 2021, the Chevrolet Equinox is now in its third production cycle and doesn't have much changed. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is no longer available, and the LT trim level has an optional leather package. Other than that, it's the same spacious, fuel-sipping, and easy-to-drive small crossover.

Which Features Are Available for 2021?

The 2021 Chevrolet Equinox is available in L, LS, LT, and Premier trim levels, with a pair of cloth-trimmed seats accommodating up to five people. A keyless entry-and-start system makes accessing and starting the Equinox super convenient. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system integrates the crossover's infotainment features, such as six speakers, an AM/FM radio tuner, Bluetooth hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, a pair of USB ports, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. In addition to the optional leather seats, the LT provides an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat and SiriusXM Radio for three months.

For a more luxurious feel, go for the top-of-the-line Premier. This model has its seats covered with perforated leather upholstery. The front seats have heating ability, and the driver's seat has a memory positioning system and faces a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system is enhanced with a high-definition 8-inch touchscreen replacing the smaller, 7-inch. Other exclusive comfort and convenience features at the Premier trim level include remote start, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, wireless phone charging, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a garage-door opener.

Featuring Great Performance

A 170-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine-mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox-powers the 2021 Equinox. This powertrain delivers 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. Front-wheel drive is standard, although you can go with any trim level above the base L to get an all-wheel drivetrain to perform better on slippery surfaces.

2021 Chevrolet Equinox Safety Features

For driver safety aid, the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox provides the Chevy Safety Assist suite of technologies, including automatic high beams, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assist, a following-distance indicator, and forward collision alert. Also standard is a rearview camera for parking guidance. However, if a crash occurs, the Equinox can deploy any of its six airbags. The range-topping Premier gets additional rear park assist, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, and rear cross-traffic alert.
