2021 Chevrolet Camaro

What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro?

Chevrolet tweaks standard features available for the Camaro, and wireless integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now standard. Other than that, the Chevrolet Camaro remains that ever-enduring performance-car nameplate with powerful engine options and athletic handling.

What Are the Camaro Trims & Features?

Available as a coupe and convertible with two doors for each, the 2021 Camaro is split into 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1 trim levels. Two cloth-trimmed rows seat up to four people, with eight-way power adjustability on the driver's seat. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system provides a 7-inch touchscreen. In addition to the previously mentioned wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto tech for smartphone integration, it combines six speakers, voice recognition, two USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth hands-free phone calling and audio streaming.

If you go with the 1LT, Chevrolet adds a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio, as well as six-way power-adjustability on the front passenger seat. Leather seat trim, front-seat heating and cooling, and dual-zone automatic climate control appear at the 2LT trim level. The 3LT has its enhancements in the infotainment area, with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen and a Bose stereo system with nine speakers on the convertible coupe and seven speakers. The 2SS is where Chevrolet introduces steering-wheel heating. Only the ZL1 gets Recaro sports seats, a suede-wrapped steering wheel, sport pedals, driver-seat memory, and wireless device charging, among several other exclusive features.

On the 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT, Chevrolet installs a turbocharged 275-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The LT1, 1SS, and 2SS get a larger, 455-horsepower 6.2-liter V8, and the performance-optimized ZL1 stands out with a supercharged version that pumps out 650 horsepower. There's a 3.6-liter V6 that's optional on the 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT for an output of 335 horsepower.

Packed with Safety Features

Six airbags, Teen Driver for monitoring driving habits, a rearview camera, and a theft-deterrent system that includes proximity keyless entry, are some of the Camaro's standard safety features. For more robust driver assistance, go with either the 3LT or the 2SS, which introduces blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, a rearview mirror camera, forward collision warning, and a head-up display.
