First Retail Production 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible Raises $1 Million for Thurgood Marshall College Fund

The 2023 Corvette Z06 was auctioned for $1 million at the Barrett-Jackson's Auction. The proceeds of this sale will benefit the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. It is a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships and support to students attending historically black colleges and universities. We are very proud of Chevrolet and the Corvette team for supporting this worthy cause.

A Brief History of the Corvette Z06

The Corvette Z06 is a high-performance iconic sports car. The first Z06 was introduced in 1963 as an option package for the Corvette Sting Ray. It got its name after Zora Arkus-Duntov, who spearheaded the development of Corvette's racing program. The original Z06 included a more powerful engine, bigger brakes, and a stiffer suspension. It quickly became the most popular choice among Corvette buyers.

The Z06 was resurrected in 2001 as an even more extreme performance version of the Corvette. It featured a larger, more powerful engine and a track-tuned suspension. It was an instant hit with Corvette fans.

The current Z06 was introduced in 2015. It is the most powerful production car ever made by Chevrolet. The Z06 has won numerous awards and is one of the best performance cars on the market.
