Chevrolet's pickup lineup has long been synonymous with capability. The Silverado EV ZR2 concept recently raced in the prestigious Mint 400 off-road event. This all-electric rig completed the intense 73-mile course, affirming its off-road credentials. Chevy also entered its gasoline Silverado ZR2 and Colorado ZR2 trucks in the same competition.
Eye-Opening Power
Under its hood, the Silverado EV ZR2 houses three electric motors that combine for about 1,100 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque. It delivers spine-tingling acceleration and formidable towing power. After the Mint 400, the truck still showed 40 percent battery remaining.
Specialized Off-Road Gear
Chevrolet outfitted the Silverado EV ZR2 concept with dedicated off-road components. The Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers provide over 13 inches of wheel travel, and locking differentials improve traction. The truck also sports underbody skid plates, 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud Terrain tires, and a raised suspension for added clearance.
Introducing the 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss
This summer, Chevrolet will introduce the Silverado EV Trail Boss. This off-road-ready variant arrives with a factory lift, red tow hooks, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and a new Terrain Mode, enabling green adventures off the beaten path.
