The Chevy Express comes equipped with one of four different engine choices. The base engine is a 4.3-liter V-6 that produces 276 horsepower and 298 pounds-feet of torque. By moving up to the 6.0-liter V-8, you can increase the power output to 341 horsepower. The V-8 comes in Vortec and gaseous CNG/LPG-capable variations. Last of all, Chevrolet offers Duramax turbo-diesel 4-cylinder engine that produces 181 horses with 369 pounds-feet of torque. All of these engines provide for great acceleration and performance even when your van is loaded down with cargo. At the high end of the spectrum, the Chevy Express can haul up to 4,334 pounds and tow an additional 7,400 pounds.
